Not a RP, but a couple of short snippets I wrote a while ago, inspired by the Technocratic Union's Iteration X, and The Progenitors, naturally.

The machine stepped through the detritus and filth of the broken city, resembling a human in every way save one; a small flashing pip of red light that blinked steadily within its left eye. Its measured pace was exact, the kinetic energy of its footfall perfectly silenced by the absorptive material of its shoe, just one of one-billion calculations the Hyper Intelligent Technology Mark 5 variant (HITMark-5) made each nano-second.

Rain beaded the skin off its wide forehead forming rivulets that dripped unchecked over its brow and cheeks. The stained hem of a trench coat swirled around its feet

The machine responded to the command, the multi-phase pulse of sensory data flooding back across rusted car bodies and the skeletons of buildings. It was as though the world had died.

The Machine pulled its targeting data.

It quickened its pace. The satellites had long since suffered orbital decay but the transponder in its throat knew precisely where it was: About a block from the building.

The Machine killed its sonar and active IR. Intel suggested that Garou were sensitive to high-frequency and it didn’t want to announce its presence.

The doorway was like a thousand others, flaked woodwork, set into ferro-cement. The Machine's hand, stained with grime, turned the latch and in a second, it was inside.

Its chest did not rise with breath, its body did not move. It remained absolutely silent for several minutes as it listened to the inhalation and exhalation of the two life forms above.

Good enough thought the machine and proceeded to ascend the cement stairwell, turning with it in a smooth spiral, and then stepping off the landing into a decayed hallway.

Long rips of wall paper seemed to weep as they hung from the walls. Needles, refuse, shit.....lay strewn on the hallway floor, a stink of rotten flesh hung in the air.

It paused outside the door, head bowed as it passively scanned. Two life forms were inside the room. It calculated vectors in three dimensions.

The Machine shouldered through the door, the wood exploding inward in a thousand splinters, a ragged torn hinge catching against its shoulder, tearing through the coat to rip a long flap of skin away, exposing the gleaming alloy endoskeleton. There was no blood.

Within, two people fucked on an old drab bed. The female straddled above, her head thrown back as her thighs widened and closed around the male below her. Perspiration sheened her back as she rose and fell, her hands clasping her breasts as her hips rotated in short desperate jerks.

The male underneath was large. To large for a human. And its reactions were blindingly fast. Already its massive musculature was morphing its physique, pulling bone and tendon into contortions that enhanced its power. Canine and incisor teeth distended from its gum line as the maw extended forward. The woman, her eyes closed, did not see any of this.

But the Machine saw it all.

The Machine went tactical. Its hands vaporized as auto cannons, sheathed within its arms, spewed 20mm inclinatory rounds at the garou. Pressure pulses from the explosions distorted the room as pyramids of smoking brass casings scattered around its feet.

The rounds impacted the female in mid-fuck, ignited, and continued into the garou. The bed collapsed and the Machine advanced until..

Curls of smoke slid lazily up to the ceiling, a faint hissing sound as some of the machine’s broken skin sizzled against the cannons superheated barrels.

There was not much left of the female. Her hips, a spinal column. The machine drew closer as it observed the nonhuman beneath her.

Genetic Analysis: Homo sanguine


Analysis and report by Dr Richard Bowstrum, Eugenic Weapons Development Group

Subject: E71-a8gle2/01
Nearest applicable species: Homo sanguine
Sex: f
Age: early 30’s
Tissue Origin: Eukaryotic Mitochondria / muscle tissue.


The E71 subject was forcibly captured by a HITMark 5 variant. Although the subject was considerably damaged, it was possible to extract eukaryotic mitochondrial tissue.

Approximately 75 hours had elapsed from the time of containment to the time of this analysis. It is unlikely that the elapsed time would have altered the chromosomal sequence of the subject.

Analysis

As with past subjects, genetic variance with the homo sapian species is minimal except for duplications previously noted upon the 9th and 14th chromosome. This variation is thought to have occurred within the recombination process during chromosomal crossover in meiosis.

Chromosome 9
A repeating sequence of RNA (code “GUU” followed by termination) upon chromosome 9 indicates a rare form of hemoglobinopath.

This gene expresses in an inability for the subject to produce haemoglobin and hence is unable to transport oxygen throughout the body from the lung tissue.

Such a disorder undoubtedly explains why the species’ soul diet comprises of blood. It is suggested that blood ingested from its prey would remain within the body for a period of approximately 48hrs before metabolism.

Chromosome 14
The short arm of the 14th chromosome appears to have been subject to a series of Interstitial deletions, theirby combining RNA code from two expressions, manifesting as a mutation. In this case, a heightened sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation.

It is wildly known that homo sanguine avoid sunlight where possible, and in fact, UV weapons have long been employed by HITMarks when nest-clearing.

Causes.

It is likely that the mutations observed on chromosome 9 and 14 arose from elevated alpha particles emitted from hard radiation.

While considerable mutation has occurred to the genome, unlike the garou subspecies, it does not appear that viral crossover has occurred, as there is no evidence of genetic code from nonhuman species integrated within the chromosome.

Recommendation

The Eugenic Weapons Development Group recommend that further Homo sanguine are captured, functional if possible, allowing neurotransmitter response testing and personality reprogramming.
